GreenCap Solutions has been selected as one of the core technologies for the Arctic DAC Project, currently being developed in Alaska. The project is backed by the Alaska CCS Consortium, a collaboration between ASRC Energy Services, LLC, Santos, and Repsol, aiming to establish a large-scale DAC hub in the region.
The first phase of the project will evaluate the feasibility of capturing 50,000 tons of CO₂ annually, with a long-term goal of scaling up to 1 million tons per year. This project represents a major step forward in deploying DAC at an industrial scale, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to address climate challenges in Arctic conditions.
GreenCap’s technology was selected for its ability to operate in extreme environments, utilizing modular scalability and a chemical-free adsorption process, making it particularly suited for Arctic operations. Additionally, waste heat from on-site gas turbines will be integrated into the system, further enhancing energy efficiency.
